COSO Framework the most widely used reference framework is the American document published in 1992 entitled Internal Control Integrated Framework, more commonly referred to as COSO, an acronym of Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission, from the name of the committee which conceived the reference framework.
